Gingers
We are currently in production with this one hour documentary for BBC ALBA.
Scotland has the greatest percentage of redheads in the world per head of population. Scientists now believe it’s a rogue gene that creates red hair.
Catriona MacPhee was born with ginger hair and in this film she takes us inside the ginger world. It’s an emotional journey but also a social and cultural journey into what it means to have red hair in today’s world. It’s heart warming and entertaining as we delve into so many different areas: discrimination, bullying, appearance, psychology, science and genetics and self confidence. There’s a whole host of people who want to be red and proud.
